IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. With IRC you can chat with SLUG members about anything.
If you want to join the chat room using your web browser use the Mibbit IRC client.

IRC Clients
- x-chat
- A nice IRC client that works on both GNU/Linux and Windows. I would download the free version if you are using windows.
- irssi
- A command line client that most of us here use. Its powerful and simple to use.

- freenode.net
- The server our chatroom resides on.
- #sluglinux @ FreeNode stats by opello
- Statistics for the #sluglinux channel.
Commands
There are some channel commands you can use such as:
- !seen <nick>
- to see when <nick> was last seen in the channel
- !meetings
- to see when the next meeting is
- !google <term>
- will do a google search for <term> and post the first result
- !define <term>
- will post the definition of <term>
